Awhile back, I blogged about weight loss surgery, including the LAP-BAND procedure. I've heard varying perspectives on the topic since then. I believe this is a huge decision for someone to make; a decision that should be preceded by a lot of careful research. If you're going to have it done, please choose a doctor who's familiar with the surgery... someone who's done the procedure many times.
For example, if you live in Texas, you might to to Richard Collier. He's the foremost Lap Band Surgeon in the citites of The Woodlands, Houston, Conroe, and Kingwood, TX. Do your research. A Woodlands Lap band might be the best choice available.
It's an important decision, not to be taken lightly. I can't emphasize that enough.
