The first post of the year

It's 1:40 in the morning on January first!
I still can't believe it's 2011 already.

As I type this, it's raining pretty hard outside, and it's 52 degrees. That's quite warm, compared to the usual temperature for a Michigan winter. It's an unusual warm spot, sandwiched in between the more typical stretches of sub-freezing temps. Sunday it's supposed to get back down into the teens and twenties.

Speaking of teens and twenties, those are years I'll never see again, since I'm going to be 41 in just a few days. Please politely ignore my screaming and sobbing.

I've lost 82 pounds so far.
Still going.
