When the New Year rolls around, stores always carry all these cool-looking pocket calendars and day-runners and scheduling books. They look so impressive and "important."
Sometimes I even end up getting one as a present. But I never really end up using it. It's a sad fact that my life is simply not exciting enough to be full of multiple social engagements. I pretty much do the same thing every week. Usually if there's an additional event on a specific date, I have an e-mail reminder of it in my inbox, so I see it there every day anyway.
I sometimes wish I had a jam-packed schedule so I could tell someone "oooh, well, let's see if I can pencil you in somewhere...."
But then I take a deep breath and realize I like a casual, non-hectic life much better.
So, good news for you guys: If you want to go out sometime, I'm probably available.
Er, I mean, "I'll try to pencil you in."

and now that we have computers, it's easier to keep track of life. At least it's supposed to be.
Happy MLK Day! Great MM post. Jam-packed schedules are over-rated...
My MM post today focuses on Martin Luther King Day.
peace, Villager
Over here, even companies do give out calendars with their logos on it.
I'll have my girl call your girl to see if we can find a mutually available walk by time on our way to elsewhere.
That was clever. I carried a day-timer for years and when I retired I thougth...done with that. Not. Carrying it again for the yacht club. Oh well. Have a great MM. :)
Gosh do I know what you mean, unfortunately I'm still very stuctured by my Treo. Oh well.
Happy MM!
Nancy: It is! I would be a wreck without my computer.
Villager: VERY over-rated! :)
Cheerio: Here too, sometimes!
Jamie: Excellent!
Sandee: Hopefully it's at least less jam-packed than it used to be...
Sheila: I've never heard of a Treo before! Is it like a Day-Timer?
I think a Treo is a phone with a PDA built into it.
And when I read Jamie's comment, I at first read "I'll have my call girl call your girl" and I thought - is Jamie a madame???
Now, I've forgotten what your post was originally about... do hookers use PDAs (like palm pilots) to keep track of their "dates"???
Heh heh heh...I'm so with you on this one! I always have high hopes on using one, but it just never pans out. *LOL*
Great post.
Morgen: I thought it said "call girl" too, at first!!
CWM: Exactly. Me too! I always have high hopes, but nope...
