Manic Monday: Stripe

I can't stand the taste of beer.
When I choose to drink alcohol, it's something with a fruity flavor, like wine coolers or lemon vodka or mixed drinks.
I don't really drink very often, so I haven't really developed a taste for alcohol. It always tastes like the smell of kerosene to me.

To further illustrate my lack of booze savvy, I have no idea how one beer could really be all THAT different from another.

What makes Killians Red different from Jamaican Red Stripe and Australian Fosters and Samuel Adams? What's the difference between a beer and a lager? Or are they the same thing?

I may never understand.
Surprisingly, I'm ok with that.

I agree with your view of beer. My first casual job in an office involved walking past a brewery to get there. This walk lasted about 20 minutes and most of it was inundated with the brewery smells at 7:30am!!!! That was the beginning of my really dislinking beer.

Yeah, I'm not much on beer, either. Sorry, that means I can't answer your questions, but I'm sure you don't really care :)

Happy Monday!

I like some beer, mostly pale ales. I don't like to be overpowered with beer taste.

I'm no expert, but I think the difference in taste and quality comes down to the hops, barley, and yeast. But don't quote me.
