Today is my friend Steve's birthday.
He is 40!
We went to high school together, and he was the first person who ever mooned me.
He plays piano much better than I do, and he plays saxophone much better than I do. He also sings better than I do.
But that's ok; because (as far as I know) I'm better at french horn, dulcimer, and harp.
So it all evens out in the end.
He's a sweet guy who is very contemplative, and he has helped me through a VERY rough time recently. In fact, he's still helping me through that journey. I appreciate that.
He understands that the process of grieving is often more important than the "destination" of being "over it." The important thing is the journey.
After all, that's what life is.... a journey. Certainly not something where we should be anxious to hurry up and get to the final page.
Thanks, Steve, for being there.
Have a terrific day. :)

You are the best! And thanks for not mentioning how you continue to kick my ass at Scrabble. Add that to French Horn, dulcimer, and harp and I think the talent genes tip in your direction.
