A group of lions is called a "pride."
Other groups of animals have weird terminology as well.
Here's a site that lists them. It also has words for non-animal groups. (e.g. an armada of ships).
Here's another site with a similar list.
Here were my favorites:
A STAND of flamingoes
A PITEOUSNESS of doves
A KNOT of toads
A PARLIAMENT of owls
A PASSEL of possum
A WEYR of dragons
A SHREWDNESS of apes
A MURDER of crows
(Incidentally, it says a group of lawyers is also called a "murder". Heh!)

My favorites were always the parliament of owls and the Exhultation of Larks.
We are doing tandem brain again because of the pride of lions.
Make that exaltation
A peck of pickled peckers.
Later Y'all.
Oooooooops. I meant peppers.
Later Y'all Again.
Great list. And it's good to make some up, too. A thicket of politicians comes to mind.
I hardly ever see a weyr of dragons... probably a good thing, though.
VERY NICE PRIDE! Chabow!
Melon made me laugh out loud. I love the last one best. Have a great MM. :)
I think it's a blather of bloggers.
I love Marilyn's!
